Pittsburgh, PA – (October 5, 2010) – Cardo Systems, Inc., the world’s market leader in wireless Bluetooth communication systems for motorcycle riders, today announced the launch of two new products in its scala rider line of scala rider line of headsets: The scala rider Q2 PRO and the scala rider TeamSet PRO.

scala rider Q2 PRO

The scala rider Q2 PRO is a further development of Cardo's best selling Q2 headset. The new Q2 PRO allows – among others - extended intercom communication of up to 700m.

The Q2 PRO incorporates PLC (Packet Loss Concealment) technology to allow real-time compensation of audio losses in challenging environments. The Q2 PRO now supports A2DP / AVRCP devices for wireless transmission of stereo music from compatible phones and MP3 players. The built-in FM Radio has been enhanced with RDS capability so the Q2 PRO can always find the strongest signal of your favorite radio station when you are on the go.

As with its predecessor, the Q2 PRO can be connected to two scala rider Bluetooth headsets. Multiple Device connectivity (MDC) allows the unit to switch between the two additional scala rider headsets while on intercom mode and one external Bluetooth device, such as GPS, mobile phone (directly or via GPS) or adapter. Thanks to the embedded Priority Management software, the Q2 PRO automatically silences active intercom conversations or GPS instructions to allow receipt of incoming phone calls. These and other voice controlled features are designed to keep your hands on the handle bar while enjoying the smart communication solutions of your headset.

The scala rider Q2 PRO is fully compatible with the entire range of scala rider headsets and can also be purchased in the cord-mounted version for tight full-faced helmets. The unit is fully waterproof and dustproof (IP 67 certified).

For added value, the Q2 MultiSet PRO is also available for purchase and contains two factory-paired Q2 PRO units in one box.

scala rider TeamSet PRO

The scala rider TeamSet PRO is a further enhancement of Cardo's classic scala rider® TeamSet product, representing the next generation of Rider to Passenger intercom communication systems.

The new scala rider TeamSet PRO is comprised of two identical, ready to go, factory-paired Bluetooth headsets. With each headset, now both rider and passenger can enjoy the benefits of full-duplex Bluetooth intercom for communicating to each other and the ability to independently initiate and accept mobile phone calls. Both units also have the capability to transmit GPS instructions. Battery life has also been extended to 10 hours of talk-time. Each headset can be connected to an external MP3 player for the rider and passenger to enjoy their favorite music on the go.
